Where Is The Best Inspirational Place for You?

Recently I was with a group of people who were discussing the topic of creating an inspirational space for ideas.

Now as a small business owner, most of us have the ability to create the space in our own offices, shops or factories to create an environment we love. That’s the joy of owning your own business.

And for all of us it is different. Some love clutter, others love clean spaces and the list goes on.

These people worked for a large organisation and said the creation of a space for creative ideas and solutions was important for some of their work but it had been a challenge to convince others for some years.

So they still are waiting…..

This got me thinking.

I know that in my case, my best ideas come to me when I am moving, not sitting at a desk.

Coming up with business names, future directions, solutions to challenges all came to me when I was either walking and talking, driving in the car or after hearing other people speak and my mind had time to process and innovate.

But I know for different people it works in different ways. Creative friends need “dreaming time” to write or artistic friends use nature for inspiration by being outdoors.

We’ve all heard of ideas coming to people in the shower, around the kitchen sink or after a conversation with a person who is inspirational, so I decided to start a survey to see how alike or different we all are in where we get our ideas.

So where and when do you get your best ideas?

Please fill in the survey and share with your friends to see how alike we are. Some are multiple choice and others are not and you can add your own comments to make your point clearer.

When you have completed the survey you will see how the majority have voted.
