Quite often I get a wide range of looks from the cynical “yeah sure but I don’t think so” to the “why not, I’m ready to give it a try?” or one look I recognise is “when was the last time YOU did something?”.
I have even written previous blogs about getting out of your comfort zones when starting a new year or a business.
Well just for the record, last night at a Council meeting I was so out of my comfort zone that I am absolutely sure not only was my discomfort visible & audible; it was public as well. ( & no, trying to envisage the audience naked would NOT have helped!)
Trust me when I say I needed my big girl pants and meditation sadly was not an option!
The funny thing though, is that life has a way of reminding you of its real priorities.
A sudden medical problem within my family meant I could not worry about 2 things at once….isn’t it funny how as much as we can multi-task your mind will only concentrate on the most important one as the priority?
In my case, my elderly family. So life reminds you of the most important things in life, a valuable lesson.
I’d like to say a special thank you to some wonderful people who have been my support angels recently.
I am full of gratitude for the kind words and smiles sent from friends near & afar…..
And let me know if you have recently stepped out of your comfort zone, apart from trying to remember to breathe how did you deal with it?
