Susan AngDr Susan Ang, is certainly an inspiring local making it happen.
Susan graduated from M. Optometry 2012 with a special interest in Ophthalmic Medicine and Paediatrics. At only 23 Susan owned her first practice in Bankstown (Sydney) and for the past 10 years has settled in the Illawarra with practices in Warilla and recently opened EyeStore in Kiama.
Susan’s values lie in community involvement, and with this she has spent the 10 years with Free Vision Testing for children in the Illawarra Public Schools, nursing home visits for Warrigal Care and sponsoring Shellharbour Kids Fest as a Gold Sponsor donating 500 pairs of glasses yearly to our local kids community.
Susan’s passion also extends overseas assisting in vision cataract camps overseas. Since 2010 Susan serves as Head of Optometry to Cambodia Vision that services outreach cataract programs to restore sight in rural Cambodia. For 2 weeks, every year, with a team of over 100 Australian and local volunteers the team screen over 3,000 Khmer farmers and perform over 500 surgeries.
Susan is interested in raising the standards of eye care to her local and international community . Shes one to push boundaries to ‘Make it Happen’!

Introducing Guest Speaker : Melissa Browne
Melissa Browne; Accountant, Advisor, Author, Shoe Addict
Melissa’s mandate is: To inspire, empower and educate women to create successful, profitable businesses.
To change the lives of her clients, Melissa shows people that creating a profitable, successful business is accessible and exciting.
Melissa is often told she’s not the typical accountant. Perhaps because she’s more comfortable in floral jackets and four inch heels or maybe because she’s simply able to engage people in a way where they truly believe that creating a successful and profitable business is not only accessible to them but is also exciting.

As a result of Melissa’s decision to no longer have an average business, Melissa changed her business, systems and process and stopped charging by the hour, implemented strong values and purpose and essentially, fell in love with owning a business again. Join us as we find out how Melissa Made it Happen!

Hope this inspires you to join us on International Women’s Day, see you there.
